Manchester Literature Festival 2008 took place between 16th and 26th October and featured over 120 writers from as far afield as North Africa, the Middle East, Europe and the United States. You can read reviews of what took place on our Festival Blog and at CityLife.co.uk 

Although the main festival is over, MLF is still engaged in a number of exciting projects, including the Big Science Read which features a series of events across Greater Manchester Libraries throughout November. Following on from the success of this year's Manchester Blog Awards we are delighted to be hosting a series of Blogging workshops in association with Manchester Digital Development Agency and Manchester Libraries. The festival-launched Rainy City Stories online publication is continuing to attract new submissions from some of the city's most exciting literary talents. And, we are delighted to announce that our Mervyn Peake poety event, which had to be postponed due to public trasnport problems, has now been rescheduled for Thursday 20 November, 12.30 - 1.15pm.
